I think most of the things I know about life in general, come from my mum. Whether it's how to make something, what to wear to places or even how to do my laundry properly; I turn to her for everything. What is International Women’s Day?

IWD was on the 8th of March, and is a day to recognise and celebrate women in relation to social, economic and political achievements.

This year’s theme according to the International Women's Day organisation was a focus on the topic ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress’, in the pursuit of equality. In honour of this, we of course wanted to celebrate the wonderful women that make up our amazing team and help run the jewellery brand you know and love today!

Throughout the week we did our very own LinkedIn photo shoot so the team are able to get some quality professional photos they can use to update their own LinkedIn profiles! 

Then on International Women’s Day, the team finished the week off with a Lunch at Al Aseel!

Definitely our teams! So grateful to have such incredible people who are truly so dedicated to the brand.

I don’t have a single piece but I would say either Nixon Collection or Simi Collection are my favourites!

What is the hardest task you have to do?

It would have to be the art of allocation of budgets which is predominantly based on calendars followed by ensuring the VM aligns and the rostering - in order to do that 1 task you have to be across the other 3. Alot of my tasks are completely interconnected!

Have you ever wondered what goes into a campaign photoshoot? Get behind the camera with us, as we take our Freshwater Pearls campaign out of office and onto the largest coastal sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere - Stockton Sand Dunes, NSW. 

With sand getting in our eyes, blazing heat, lots and lots of jewellery, plus trying to get the best lighting, our team brings to life one our BEST campaign shoots yet!

8:00am Roadtrip
Just a little over two hours north of Sydney, our dream team Heidi, Natasha, Tahlia and helper of the day Pete, take a road trip up north to find the best spot on the dunes.

9:00am Meet our Model 
 Our beautiful model Maria (from Facon Models) arrives for hair and makeup in Newcastle. Can we just say how beautiful she is looking! This is Maria’s second photoshoot ever, but we just already know she’s got the wow factor to take our Pearl Jewellery to a whole new level. 

10:00am Set up 
After the team finds the perfect spot, they start to set up. *Tip: This is the best time to apply Sunscreen folks. (we've learnt this the hard way).

Celebrations started off with cakes and balloons at head office. Yes, more than one cake! So of course, we all took a cake home each! Both boutiques also received a large cookie cake in-store, and let's just say it was a cheat day for everyone.

Celebrating in true TSC style, we had a lovely team dinner at Matteo’s, Double Bay. With delicious food and great company, it was definitely a night to remember.

The annual fashion event showcasing Australia’s talented designers, stylists and fashion icons was back for another year at Carriageworks, Sydney.

And this year (for the first time ever might we add), we had the pleasure of partnering with Australian Fashion Designer, Michael Lo Sordo to debut his 10 year anniversary collection down the runway - inspired by Parisian nightlife. Spotted on the Runway, we had the pleasure of showcasing the pieces you know and love -  Cerene Drop Earrings, Bernadette Chain and Ginger Earrings.
